About Michael Bateh
Michael Bateh has spent a lifetime serving our community. Recognized for his commitment to supporting our most vulnerable and defending the principles of justice, Michael is ready to serve as Duval County Judge. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida and a Juris Doctor degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law, Michael is well versed in the legal system and equipped for the bench.
Michael has also worked as a high school substitute teacher and coach. In this role, Michael mentored students as they transitioned to the next steps in their academic and working future. Within the legal community, he is a respected volunteer and known for ongoing efforts to build upon his knowledge. He is a member of Jacksonville Bar Association Board of Governors and serves on many of its committees. He is also a member of The Florida Bar Grievance Committee and serves as chair, as well as the University of North Florida Pre-Law Program Board of Advisors.
Michael’s integrity, experience, and tough-but-fair approach to the law mean the people of Jacksonville can trust him to ensure justice is served. Now Michael is ready to put his lifetime’s worth of experience helping others find justice to work as Duval County Judge.
